Chat Software
There are lots of programs available for using the internet for chats.
Most of them use Internet Relay Chat (IRC).
There are two suggested IRC programs for Windows and Macintosh computers.
Apart from your type of computer, which you choose depends on whether you use Netscape as your web browser.
If you do, there is an add-on called Netscape Chat that you might like to try.
Otherwise, there is a separate IRC client program which does not need a web browser at all.
